Where meaning takes form

Symbolic sand tray work

selective focus on a therapeutic sand tray with a blurred miniature of a bridge fading gen

Elena Verigo

I work with sand, symbol and image to help people see what is actually shaping their situation - especially at points of decision, transition or stuckness.

Rather than talking things through at length, we build a scene in the sand and read it. The image shows patterns, tensions and movements that are often difficult to access through conversation alone.

This is not open-ended therapy. The work is focused, interpretive and oriented towards insight - what is happening, what is shifting, and where things are trying to move.

It tends to suit people who are comfortable with depth, ambiguity and symbolic language, and who are looking for clarity rather than ongoing processing.

My approach draws on Jungian sandplay, archetypal psychology and spiritual traditions, but is not tied to any one framework.

Sessions are held in London.
